## CARFAX®

Every service you invoice on a vehicle with a VIN is reported to CARFAX® and appears in that vehicle's service history. Your shop gets the credit for the work, and car buyers see it.

### How it works

1. **Turn on CARFAX® reporting** in Settings, automatic or manual.
2. **Invoice as usual.** 
3. **With automatic reporting,** the service is sent to CARFAX® 48 hours after invoicing; within that window, corrections are still picked up.

> Once sent, a report can't be changed from AutoSoft Online.

## QuickBooks®

Invoices, payments, credit memos and voids go to your QuickBooks Online® company on their own, and later changes follow them. You pick which accounts each item posts to, once.

### How it works

1. **Connect** your QuickBooks Online® company.
2. **Map** your accounts and tax code.
3. **Work as usual:** documents are sent every night, or right away with Sync now, and each invoice shows its QuickBooks® status.

## Stripe®

Connect your own Stripe® account and take cards online or at the counter. Payment links go out by email or text; when the payment goes through, the invoice is marked paid and the receipt goes out.

### How it works

1. **Connect your Stripe® account** from Settings.
2. **Send a payment link** or take the card at the counter.
3. **The invoice is marked paid** and the receipt goes out.

## SMS

Text estimates, payment links, receipts, credit memos and next-service reminders from your shop's own number. We register your shop with the carriers for you, and your customers' opt-in is recorded on the estimate they sign.

### How it works

1. **Sign up for texting** in Settings; approval takes 3 to 5 business days.
2. **Check the text box** when you send.
3. **The customer gets the text** with a link to the PDF.

> Available in the U.S. and Canada.

## Frequently asked questions

### Does it work with QuickBooks Desktop®?

No, only QuickBooks Online® for the U.S.

### Whose Stripe® account is it?

Yours. The money goes to your account; AutoSoft Online only gets permission to charge with it.

### Can I text customers who didn't opt in?

No. Texts only go to customers who gave their consent.
